Accredited for Excellence

DIFD’s Malvan manufacturing facility has earned multiple prestigious certifications, demonstrating its commitment to quality, safety, and compliance. The facility is accredited with EN ISO 3834-2:2021 for welding process, EN 1090-2:2018, ISO 1090-2:2018 and EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 for structural steel fabrication, and ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. Additionally, DIFD has secured ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety, reinforcing its dedication to operational excellence and sustainability.

Quality Assurance Through Expert Inspections

Our inspection facilities include comprehensive testing and measurement equipment to ensure weld quality and precision. Visual inspection and ultrasonic testing (UT) of butt welds are conducted by ASNT Level-II operators in compliance with customer-approved procedures. For UT, we use the MODSONIC UT machine to accurately assess weld joint integrity.

Magnetic particle testing (MPT) of fillet welds is also performed by ASNT Level-II operators using the ACCUPLUS MPT Yoke machine, following customer-approved procedures to ensure defect-free welds.

Additionally, we utilize a Laser Measuring Unit (Easy Laser E-915) for precise measurements of flatness, tilt, and short waviness of flanges. This technology enables us to deliver high-accuracy assessments.

Pre-blasting inspections of sections are carried out at the black stage to ensure the quality and readiness of the materials before further processing.

Visual Inspection:

Visual inspection of butt welds is carried out by ASNT Level-II certified operators, adhering to customer-approved procedures to ensure the highest quality standards.

Ultrasonic Testing (UT):

Ultrasonic testing of butt welds is performed using a MODSONIC UT machine, operated by ASNT Level-II personnel, to accurately assess the integrity of weld joints by approved procedures.
